Why You Should Hire a Photographer to Document Your Event

If you’re on the fence about whether or not to hire a photographer to document your event, here a couple reasons to consider:

If the event is for a family reunion, you’ll want to get a group photo of the whole family (including yourself).  You could probably try doing it yourself, but a couple things could happen.

We don’t want to leave anyone out now. Do we? 

The first option is that you could have someone else take the photo with you in it. However, that family member will be left out because they were the ones who took it. 

Secondly, you set a timer on your camera. Although if you go this route, it can be a bit problematic because you can’t tell who’s looking and who isn’t. Which means you’ll have to do several takes, and possibly even adjust who is in the frame. In addition, sometimes the triggers or timers go out, and then you’ll have to leave from your spot and double check to reset the timer. Even worse, you could do all of this and still may not even get the shot. 

Hiring a professional will eliminate all of this stress.

Selfies? No thanks

Another reason is you could be going around the entire event, remembering to take selfies and photos with your smartphone all night. You can still do this if you’d like, but it’d be a whole lot easier if you could relax and enjoy the moment instead of stressing yourself making sure it’s documented appropriately.

In addition to that, attempting to take a selfie with a more than 3-4 people without cutting off faces is next to impossible. 

If the event is a birthday party, you don’t want to miss out on visiting with guests or helping your child open their presents or gifts. You’ll also miss other important moments like helping them cut the cake,  or cut the cakebecause you’re trying to take the photos. You should want to be enjoying the moment, not hiding behind the camera every moment of every second of the event.
