Senior Picture Accessories and What to Bring
Alright, so you’ve planned the perfect outfits to wear to your senior session. You know exactly how you want your images to look, and have got the ideas for your hair and makeup in your head. You’ve got your outfit planned, know exactly what you’re doing with your hair, and have already spoken to the makeup artist about which “glam” look you want.

Next, it’s time to consider which accessories you’d like to wear to add the finishing touches to your looks.
Senior portrait accessories recommendations
You wear the accessories. Don’t let the accessories wear you. You want to be the focus of your senior images, not your overzealous accessories. If they are too big or dramatic, they can take the spotlight away from you. In addition, large accessories also have the tendency to overwhelm your body and face, further taking away from your image. Remember, your senior pictures are about you. Let’s make sure it stays that way.
Choose accessories that mean something to you or that you really like. For example, this could be a special piece of jewelry a family member gave to you. This could also be the matching bracelet you wear to symbolize friendship with your bestie. Regardless, incorporate those symbolic accessories into your session.
Make sure your accessories all work well with your outfit. For example, a thin belt may flatter your figure more than a thick belt. I have a budget so I prefer to wear thicker belts instead, ultimately it’s up to you though. Your long earrings may look best with your hair pinned up, while the studs look good with your hair down. Try them on with your outfits and look in the mirror to see which versions you prefer.

Finally, always try to get another opinion on your selections. Try on or wear everything you plan to wear on photo day, then ask for advice. This could be from your best friends, parents, or even me. You can even take a few snapshots, and then send them instead
