Displaying Photos in Your Home

Now that your session is over, it’s time to decide where you are going to put your photos and what will look best in your home. These are also the same tips we discuss during your pre-session consultation, in case you forgot ?. Here are some tips to help guide you when you’re considering displaying photos in your home.

Displaying photos in your home on the walls

Acrylic Wall Art

Sleek, modern, and bold. Prints are mounted on acrylic to give your images a bold pop of color. Acrylics are perfect for those who have a modern home or style, and are a senior photo favorite!

Framed Canvas

Another wall art option is a beautiful gallery wrapped canvas stretched over varying thicknesses of wood to make it stand out more or less depending on your preference. Your frame will be designed based on the decor of your home and photographs. I provide both legacy, fine art frames as well as floating frames for clients.

Framed on Wall –

We also offer a variety of frames for photographic prints. Your will either be matted to a surrounding mat or only framed. Contact us for more details.

During your Reveal and Ordering Appointment, we’ll discuss hanging photos on several different walls of your home with a combination of single photos and wall groupings.

Displaying photos in your home on the table

Framed on Shelves, Desks, Tables

If you are renting or don’t want to put holes in your walls from prints or canvases, you can also frame your prints and place them on shelves, desks, or tables around your home. (You can also do this in addition to the wall hangings if you’d like.)

Photo Boxes

Customized photo boxes are a recent popular addition. I like to call them “Flex Boxes”, since they provide flexibility for you. You can use the box as a keepsake album where the images are stored for enjoyment later. In addition, you could swap the prints out and frame them as well.

Heirloom Albums or Coffee Table Books –

This is the most popular client favorite option. If you just can’t pick out a few photos to display in your home and you need more space, I recommend an heirloom album. Unlike with other photographers who may not specialize in printed artwork, each page of your album is carefully designed and customized. In addition to the personalization, there are no additional fees for cover options or upgrades since I offer to you my very best. You can keep it displayed on your coffee or end table closed, on an easel, or even stored in a drawer.

Conclusion of displaying photos in your home

In closing, hope you now have some ideas on displaying photos of your family in your home. As a lifetime portrait and wedding photographer, I specialize in helping you preserve and display your memories.
